Background

This conference has been held biennially since 1980 and serves as a forum for parliamentary committees with a brief to scrutinise legislation and delegated legislation to meet and exchange experiences. Participants include relevant committees from the Federal, State, Territory and New Zealand Parliaments. Representation from overseas parliamentary committees is welcome.

The theme for the 2009 Conference was ‘Scrutiny and Accountability in the 21st Century’.
